Italy vs Spain marks a blockbuster first semi-final at Euro 2020

Italy beat Spain on penalties to reach the Euro 2020 final after an enthralling semi-final at a noisy Wembley.

Italy will face England in the final on Sunday after winning a penalty shootout 4-2 following a 1-1 draw after extra-time.

Federico Chiesa had given Italy the lead in the second half, but Alvaro Morata equalised for Spain in the 80th minute.

There were no further goals in extra-time, so the match went to a penalty shootout.

Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma saved two penalties, from Morata and Dani Olmo, to send Italy through to the final.

Italy will be looking to win their second European Championship title, having previously won the tournament in 1968.

England will be aiming to win their first major trophy since the 1966 World Cup.
