Kim Nam-joon, better known by his stage name RM (formerly Rap Monster), is a South Korean rapper, songwriter, and record producer who is the leader of the hugely popular K-pop group BTS. Born on September 12, 1994, in Ilsan-gu, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, RM is known for his intelligence, leadership skills, and passion for hip-hop music.
Musical Career
RM began his musical career in 2007 when he formed the underground hip-hop group Daenamhyup with ZICO and Pdogg. In 2010, he was discovered by Big Hit Entertainment, a South Korean record label, and joined BTS as a rapper and leader. The group debuted in 2013 with the song "No More Dream" and quickly gained recognition for their catchy melodies, powerful lyrics, and impressive performances.
