Edmonton Oilers Back in Action

Oilers to Practice on Friday

The Edmonton Oilers announced today that they will return to practice this Friday after being given the all-clear by the NHL. The team has been on pause since an outbreak of COVID-19 forced them to postpone four games.

The Oilers will still practice without head coach Dave Tippett who is still in COVID-19 protocol. Assistant coach Jim Playfair will oversee the practice in Tippett's absence.

The Oilers are tentatively scheduled to return to game action on Saturday, February 19 against the Vancouver Canucks. However, that game is still subject to change based on the results of further testing.
